Niko niko nyan nyan

In the beginning of August I took on the role of catsitter, staying a week in a colleague's apartment in Shibuya.
This is Genki. She is small and very energetic.
This is Panda. He's bigger, slower and fatter.
 We played a lot.

I went home to Koto-ku once for Obon.
 A girl dressed in Yukata.
Lamps with the names of the sponsors. It was by far the most local festival I've ever attended. And maybe the best. The contrast between this local obon and the Gion festival in Kyoto was staggering.
Local kids can apply to play the drums. It's a great honor for the family. I think Kaori played once.
The neighbor family. We talked a lot and had kakigoori together.
Which was extremely cheap. And it got cheaper and cheaper as the evening progressed.
 Drum kids taking a break.
Apart from Esben and I there were very few people in their 20's. It was mainly a family event. I bet people at our age where out with their friends... Like Kaori was. This cute boy is playing with a yo-yo made of a string and a balloon filled with water.
Pretty! Though my camera is not good with darkness.
 Young teenagers standing around.
Back in Shibuya Genki is showing Panda some love.
He is really a huge cat.
I relaxed a lot.
